Podiatry or podiatric medicine is a branch of medicine devoted to the study of diagnosis, medical and surgical treatment of disorders of the foot, ankle, and lower extremity. Made up of 26 bones, the human foot endures daily punishment consisting of having to bear full weight and uncomfortable shoes. Proper foot care is crucial to a completely healthy and happy life.
