ECG Technician

Brunswick Medical Center is currently recruiting a part-time ECG technician. Our stress test technician should be able to perform ECG test on patients while monitoring both blood pressure and heart rate during diagnostic and therapeutic procedures while monitoring the patients comfort and safety during tests, alerting the cardiologist of any abnormalities or changed in the patient’s responses. The candidate will be working closely with a team of cardiologist and nurses.

 

Tasks

· Explain test procedures to patients

· Prepare reports of diagnostic procedures for interpretation by the cardiologist

· Conduct electrocardiogram, stress testing and various other cardiovascular tests to record patient’s activity.

 

Qualifications

· DEC in diagnostic imaging;

· Member of the OTIMROEPMQ;

· Relevant work experience with Holter monitoring, stress tests, echocardiogram;

· Ability to work independently, demonstrate high level of initiative;

· Ability to operate, maintain equipment used for cardiac diagnostic testing

· Basic computer skills;

· Strong interpersonal skills;

· Excellent organizational skills and multitasking;

· Able to work under pressure;

· Able to work in a face pace environment, meet tight deadlines;

· Favorites working in a team environment.

Nurse

The Brunswick Medical Center with its highly experienced staff of more than 35 physicians within various specialties is dedicated to meeting the unique needs of adult patients.

We are currently looking for a full-time nurse to work alongside our fantastic team of physicians, nurses and administrative staff in our Obstetrics-Gynecology.

The ideal candidate is a nurse who enjoys working in a fast-paced, multi-disciplinary clinical setting who participates in open communication with physicians. The applicant must be comfortable triaging patients and assisting physicians with minor procedures.

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Hold a college diploma in nursing care;
  • Licensed nurse in good standing with the OIIQ or OIIAQ;
  • Fluently Bilingual;
  • Willingness to assist in minor procedures;
  • Strong Organizational skills;
  • Ability to multi-task;
  • Must be willing to work flexible hours;
  • Computer Skills : possess strong computer skills or aptitude;
  • Experience in Obstetrics/Gynecology, Surgery, Pediatrics, Venipuncture and/or Immunizations are appreciated.

Medical Secretary

Under general supervision performs a variety of secretarial duties to physicians and other members of the clinic as assigned.

Duties include, but are not limited to :

  • Responding to incoming telephone calls, screening calls, taking and relaying messages and providing information;
  • Manage doctors’ schedules.
  • Providing support services to patients and medical staff;
  • Scheduling appointments and admissions as requested;
  • Maintaining appointment logs for patients and updating physician schedules;
  • Creating and maintaining patient records as requested;
  • Ordering and restocking office and clinical supplies;
  • Maintaining patient confidentiality

Performance requirements:

  • Knowledge of medical office procedures.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology.
  • Knowledge of word processing systems and applications.
  • Bilingualism: The ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
